The Ground Force team once again participated as a major sponsor in the “Holidays and Heroes” event at the Greyhound Park and Event Center in Post Falls, Idaho December 2024. This heartwarming annual event, organized by local public safety agencies, brought joy to many children and their families. Over 130 children from Spokane and Kootenai counties participated in the event. They were paired with local heroes, including sheriff’s deputies, police officers, firefighters, and detectives, who took them shopping for Christmas presents for their families. The children were then treated to a festive celebration at the event center, where they could enjoy activities like painting ornaments, sipping hot chocolate, and taking photos with Santa and his elves. One of the highlights was the distribution of over 130 handmade blankets by the Love-Day Ladies sewing group from Trinity Lutheran Church in Coeur d’Alene. The event was filled with laughter, joy, and the spirit of giving, making it a memorable day for everyone involved. It truly showcased the community’s dedication to spreading holiday cheer and creating lasting memories for the children.
