Another great event wrapped up last week at the Caterpillar Proving Ground Tinaja Hills  Demonstration and Learning Center in Tucson, Arizona. Ground Force Worldwide was honored to have showcased (3) trucks at the 2014 Global Mining Forum at Tinaja Hills, May 2nd – May 9th 2014. On stage adjacent to the Learning Center was our underground Motor Grader (120K – Tier 3), our Cable Reel Truck with Cat 740 Articulated Chassis and our Fuel & Lube Truck with Cat 740 Articulated Chassis. All three of these trucks had droves of Mining Forum participants around them and were well received by all. Luke Stavros, our vice president of sales and product support was onsite at the Forum greeting participants and answering questions about the machines. As always a Big Thank you for including us in the event and we look forward to the next one!

Tinaja Hills / CONEXPO 2014 FOLLOW-UP

After 5 days of rotating through CONEXPO 2014, with tired feet and pockets of business cards, we come home to get down to work. We saw lots of great exhibits, cool new technologies and visited with many GREAT customers. Caterpillar looked stellar – as always stealing the show. So many cranes in the GOLD lot it looked like transformers! And our good friends at Alaska Structures had quite a spread! Let’s not forget our GF40FLT (Fuel and Lube truck with CAT 740 Articulating chassis) that showcased at Tinaja Hills in Arizona! This is a sweet unit, always ready for the toughest application. Caterpillar sure knows how to put on an event … we just can’t get enough! We thank you for taking the time to spend with us and always look forward to the next one!

Underground Force’s UG30FLT articulating fuel and lube truck offers extreme versatility in moving and delivering large volumes of products in the most extreme underground mining applications. The incorporation of the Cat® AD30 Underground Mining chassis adds reliability and efficiency, as this truck’s rugged construction is engineered for performance in underground applications. Our UGF product line goes through rigorous testing and certifications to ensure it is the safest in the industry along with meeting standards all over the world. Here are a few of those certifications we have proudly completed to date:   ROPS/FOPS Standards & Testing Our engineers determine our testing and certification needs for each piece of underground equipment we build and can meet standards all across the world. We also perform contract testing. This third party certification helps you to manage product liability and gives you the peace of mind that your cabs and ROPS are safe and reliable. This testing is conducted in accordance with two standards: • ISO 3471 = ROPS • ISO 3449 = FOPS Vale brake test Brake Testing The UG20M underground motor grader passed the Ontario, Canada underground brake requirements at the Vale Ramp in Sudbury, Ontario.
