With over 45,000 people in attendance at this years’ MINExpo - Ground Force Worldwide was in the spotlight, showcasing 7 trucks over the course of 7 days. The experience for us was incredible! Standing tall at the corner of our 5000 sq foot booth was the World’s Largest Fuel and Lube truck, alongside of that was our 150th built Articulated 740 Fuel and Lube truck. Also drawing much attention was a cutaway of our 60,000 gallon water truck (the World’s Largest, spanning almost 35’ in length!) – showcasing our new Water Control System. New jobs have a lot to do with a major expansion that’s still going on at ground force. New faces at Ground Force Manufacturing are helping break in a new massive 85,000 square foot work shop. The new-hires are welders and machinists who are helping build huge pieces of mining equipment. The shop opened Monday. CEO Ron Nilson says his work force has grown from about 100 last year to about 225 employees working in North Idaho. Ground force still has positions to fill. Ground Force to open new facility in April, adding hundreds of jobs

KREM 2’s Cole Heath got the opportunity to tour the 85,000 square foot shop Tuesday.  He says it is huge and will soon be filled with all sorts of people being put back to work. Officials say crews are already busy making all kinds of heavy-duty mining equipment.  They say a larger facility and additional crews are needed. Officials say Ground Force will open the massive workshop in April. CEO Ron Nilson says the new building is only about 50% complete at this point.  He says hundreds of new employees will be making the heavy-duty rigs when the building is complete.
